Madrid, Sep 24 (EFE).- Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke at a press conference on Tuesday and claimed that the team that had surprised him the most so far this season was Atletico de Madrid. The Italian said that he admired manager Diego Simeone's ability to impregnate his team with the "character" and "personality" he had had as a player.

When asked about his own team, Real Madrid, Ancelotti said that he was satisfied with how the players were advancing and getting better, adding that they wanted to improve through training, which, for the manager, was a sign of professionalism.

Ancelotti also announced that French defender Raphael Varane and Portuguese midfielder Fabio Coentrao had recovered from their injuries but would not be on the starting line up against Elche, Madrid's upcoming league opponents who were recently promoted to first division.

He also spoke about Gareth Bale, who underwent his second individual training session on Tuesday and is currently recovering
