Eleven people were injured after Cambodian police clashed with opposition party supporters on Sunday night (September 22), local media reported.
About 30 people held a hunger strike in Phnom Penh in protest against the disputed July 28 election result, calling for King Norodom Sihamoni to delay or not attend the first parliament session on Monday (September 23).
The National Election Committee (NEC) says Prime Minister Hun Sen's Cambodian People's Party (CPP) won 68 seats in the July 28 election to the CNRP's 55. The CNRP says it was cheated out of 2.3 million votes that would have handed it victory.
Authorities have refused to hold an independent inquiry into alleged vote-rigging by the party of long-serving Hun Sen.
Local media said police used electroshock weapons to disperse protesters on Sunday night at about 2230 local time (1330 GMT).
