'War Chhod Na Yaar' is touted to be as India's first war comedy film, which is written and directed by Faraz Haider, who assisted Dibakar Banerjee on his "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!", and as well as to a German director in past.
The movie stars Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjay Mishra, Mukul Dev, Manoj Pahwa, and others in their respective roles.
The treatment of the humor in 'War Chhod Na Yaar' has many layers - mostly situational, sometimes spoofy, sometimes slapstick, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, and sometimes even over-the-top. Not only is the movie a satirical take on the conditions of the armed forces of two most controversial countries who are engaged in a war, but it also tries to shed some light on some 'So Called' reasons behind one such unwanted war.
The movie is likely to hit screens on October 11, 2013.
