A Punjab Police DSP reportedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Guru Teg Bahadur Colony.

The deceased, Manwinder Singh, was posted at the Punjab Police headquarters in Chandigarh.

The police said in the voice message box of his cellphone, the DSP held nobody responsible for his death. “In a 12-page letter, the DSP indicated that he was being harassed by his wife, who was living separately at Jalandhar with their three children,” said a police officer.
