Six years ago Manmohan Singh urged Indians to do more to protect some of the country’s most important historical sites. The Indian prime minister's call to action changed the fate of Humayan's Tomb, one of New Delhi's most famous monuments. Major repair and restoration work has been done on the exterior and interior of the mausoleum and the areas surrounding it.
