The death sentences passed down in India on four men who raped, tortured and murdered a woman in Delhi last year have been welcomed by politicians and activists.

Outside the court chanting protesters staged a mock hanging of the perpetrators.

Many see justice as being done after the horrific crime which shocked the country.
