Don’t ever underestimate a dog. A hero pooch in South Wales, United Kingdom recently saved his owner from a burning house.

The Siberian Husky called Devo woke his handicapped owner, a 56-year-old woman named Anna at about 2 am. The dog was downstairs.

He began franctically barking and scratching in an effort to make noise. Devo only has one eye and he also suffers from epileptic fits.

Fearing that her dog was encountering health troubles, she shot out of bed. Anna stated “I told him to go back to sleep because it was still dark. It all happened so quickly. I thought I must have left a light on and then I realized there was actually a fire.”

The blaze started in a conservatory in Anna’s home. The flames quickly spread to the rest of the house.

It only took minutes for the whole place to become engulfed. Firefighters quickly arrived on scene, but despite the efforts, the house was left destroyed and is now scheduled for demolition.

Anna has lost all of her sentimental belongings, including precious family photos.
