There's balance in pretty much everything we see from nature to architecture. So it's refreshing to see something that breaks the paradigm.

The Spanish architecture firm OOIIO has released plans for a seemingly unique hotel to be located in Peru.

Called the Unbalance Hotel, it basically has a gaping hole in the middle of the structure. From the exterior view, it appears to be a gigantic tilted picture frame.

The rectangular shaped hole in the center of the hotel means people behind the building will have a more open ocean view because they can literally see right through it.

The director of the architectural company behind the hotel stated “Lima hasn’t got a representative iconic building that brings the more than 8 million inhabitants of the city to be well known worldwide. We wanted to create something radical, strong. A landmark, a building that makes you think, a shape that shakes your imagination.”

As of right now, the design is in the developmental stage and no construction date has been set. How do you like the design?
