There's widespread outrage in India after a young photojournalist was gang raped at this abandoned textile mill in Mumbai.

The woman, in her 20's, was attacked by five men here on Thursday - another grim rape in a country still reeling from the brutal gang rape in Delhi in December.

Politicians have condemned this latest sexual assault on a young woman.

Communist Party of India lawmaker D Raja called for unity to prevent any further attacks.

"It is time to condemn that crime and unite people to fight against such atrocities continuously committed against women in our country."

Members of India's main opposition party led protests in Mumbai condemning the rape.

One suspect was arrested on Friday (August 23) and a second man appeared in court on Saturday after being arrested in a South Mumbai video parlour. Police say the two men have admitted to the rape.
