How far would you go to get your hands on ice cream?

Recently, two thieves in Sweden attempted to steal a lot of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Over $1,300 worth of the frozen treat was taken but the crooks didn’t get too far with the goods.

The culprits hit a truck which was parked outside of a wholesale center on the east coast of the country. An alert security guard noticed the thieves during the crime and went after them.

Immediately, the suspects tried to get away and they ditched the stolen ice cream. The security guard was able to catch one of the crooks, an 18-year-old male.

His partner-in-crime managed to escape from the scene unscathed. Law enforcement is currently looking for the accomplice while the other man was arrested and detained on suspicion of theft.

A police spokesperson stated “As I understand it, all the ice cream was still in the bags. And a lot of it had melted so it had to be thrown away. This is one of the most unusual crimes I've been involved in."
