A woman in her early twenties recently dined had recently dined at Ray’s Crab Shack in Newark, California. When she finished her meal, the waitress handed over a credit card but it did not belong to the female.
Instead, it was the property of a customer at an adjacent table. That innocent error turned out to be a nightmare.
Instead of returning the card, the young woman headed to a nearby mall and went on a shopping spree. A little while later, the original cardholder got wind of the mistake and tried to cancel the card, but learned it had already been used at the NewPark Mall.
The victim viewed surveillance footage from the restaurant to see who the person was that had possession of their credit card. The cardholder went to the mall to look for the female suspect.
The victim along with mall security spotted the woman waltzing past stores and called police. Cops arrested the female at a little after 8 pm. She was booked on suspicion of commercial burglary and credit card fraud.
