51-year-old William Neugebauer is in jail after beating his wife with a package of frozen ground beef.

This recent story about a western Pennsylvania couple serves as yet another example and reminder that you cannot stop people from committing violence, regardless of what “weapons” they have available to them.

On August 6th, Aliquippa Police were called to 51-year-old William Neugebauer’s home after someone reported a domestic dispute in the afternoon.

Police reported they found his wife Wendy inside with a swollen rib cage and William had fled the residence. She said he beat her with a package of frozen ground beef.

Neugebauer was arrested 30 minutes later when he came back to the house and has a preliminary hearing scheduled this coming Tuesday. He is charged with public drunkenness, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment.

The court documents do not list a lawyer for him. Currently, he remains in jail as he cannot post the $10,000 bond.
