How far would you go for a pair of boots?

Three thieves broke through a concrete wall at a Pompano Beach, Florida warehouse, stole a pair of work boots, and then left them behind.

Authorities are baffled by the incident, particularly because such a huge effort was put into acquiring the 200-dollar footwear.

The masked trio of two females and a male used a sledgehammer to make a hole in the concrete wall of the Coastal Boots warehouse big enough to walk through.

After they got into the building, they disabled the alarms and nabbed the box of boots, which was the only thing they took.

When they fled the scene they had both the sledgehammer and the box of boots with them.

Who knows what happened, but when police later searched the area they found the tool and shoebox with the boots inside had been abandoned by the criminals.

The owner of the store was both dumbfounded and annoyed.

He said the trio should surely be on America’s Dumbest Criminals, but added that they did 1700 dollars in damage to his warehouse wall.
