Met apologises over killing at G20 protest

The Metropolitan Police has apologised, "unreservedly" for the death of Ian Tomlinson who was struck by a policeman's baton at the G20 protests in London four years ago. He collapsed from the blow and died of internal bleeding. A top officer described it as "use of excessive and unlawful force".
