America is home to many smart, savvy individuals. However, you might not guess that while driving through Auburn, California.

A road sign has been put up showcasing the phrase ‘Please Slow Drively’. Considering that drively is not actually a real word and the fact that the sign saying doesn’t make much sense, residents and fellow motorists are doing a double take while passing.

It is a privately-posted sign, so no one is yet sure if the phrase is a misprint, a clever way to get attention or a silly prank. However the placement of the sign is a little insulting to the area’s education system, as it was installed in close proximity to a preschool.

One local child spoke of the sign makers stating “I think they need to go to pre-school. Maybe they are pre-schoolers.”

The diamond shaped sign appears to be official, making the phrase even more bizarre. Some local residents found the sign funny, others thought it needed to be corrected, but one thing is sure, many drivers are slowing down to make sure their eyes aren’t playing tricks on them.
