Tap Paradise Cove is a city-building game that has a good deal of land-clearing and exploration laced in it. You begin life on an overgrown island that needs to be cleared away (because to hell with Nature). As you chop down trees, you slowly build up the cleared land with dwellings for new residents, as well as businesses for merchants and tradespeople. As you build, you reveal temples and other landmarks that can be explored. You can also manage a fleet of ships to search for treasure and new potential neighbors.
There's a lot to see and do in Tap Paradise Cove, which is the game's biggest strength and weakness. It's a lot of fun to build ships, and send them out to sea.

It's a lot of fun to hack away trees and see what the jungle is hiding. It's a lot of fun to populate your island with dogs, foxes, cows, bakers, miners, and gossipy neighbors. Unfortunately, playing and enjoying Tap Paradise Cove for any length of time requires you to buy and spend quite a bit of the game's premium currency--in this case, rubies--and you're constantly hounded to buy said currency.
