A prominent opposition figure in Tunisia, Mohamed Brahmi, has been shot dead in the capital Tunis.
The founder and one-time leader of the nationalist and secular Popular Party was a
forceful critic of the Islamist-led government.
The 58-year-old was gunned down outside his house in Tunis in front of his disabled daughter, according to a party member. The killers then escaped.
