Snowden's Moscow airport stay hits one-month mark

Edward Snowden landed at this Moscow airport in June. Today, a month later, the former U.S. government contractor is still here and his plans are far from clear.

Political analyst Lilia Shevtsova believes Snowden may be wearing out his welcome.

SOUNDBITE: Political Analyst Lilia Shevtsova of the Carnegie Endowment For International Peace Saying:

"Having Snowden for several weeks I would say any intelligence service would make Snowden a kind of 'empty box'. So Russia does not need Snowden. He is a nuisance. And I am not sure that America will need Snowden because, well, to have Snowden in the United States of America means that they will have an open trial and an open trial again will attract attention to the administration, to Obama - the Nobel Prize winner - and to the surveillance scandal."

Snowden faces espionage charges in states and has been in limbo since the U.S. rescinded his passport.
