A key witness in the James "Whitey" Bulger trial has been found dead. Stephen Rakes was going to testify that that Bulger threatened his daughter at gunpoint and forced him to turn over his South Boston liquor store, which became Bulger’s headquarters. Police reportedly told Rakes’ family his death appeared to be a suicide, but a source close to the family said that he had no phone or wallet.
