A bus crash left eight people dead and 19 injured in China's southwest Yunnan Province on Sunday (July 14), state media reported.

It happened when a bus overturned and plunged into a valley with 27 people on board, local media say. Eight people were confirmed dead on site.

An initial investigation into the cause of the crash shows wet roads likely caused the bus to slip off the road.
