Ahead of presidential elections in Mali set for July 28th, the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) has replaced African troops. The UN peacekeepers have many issues to tackle in a country still threatened by Islamic fighters and led for years by governments unable to stop drug trafficking.
