Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny has been detained briefly by police in Moscow.

The anti-corruption blogger was dragged away as he addressed supporters outside the city's electoral commission where he submitted his registration papers to run for mayor of Moscow.

Nalvalny was forced on board a police bus and his supporters blocked the vehicle from leaving.
