Me playing the organ at St John Fisher Catholic Church in North Harrow, London.

The church was built in 1939 but examining the organ, I believe it was built in the mid 1930s so it seems likely that the organ came here second hand. The organ is the 3 rank 'Miniatura' model by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd and located on a gallery on the left hand side of the church and enhanced by superb acoustics. The specification reads:

PEDAL

SOLO

For this first video I am playing the hymn from the Catholic hymnal 'I am wisdom' which makes use of the main sounds used for accompanying congregational hymn singing.

Many thanks to the church officials for allowing me access to this wonderful example of a prewar 'Miniatura' model of organ built by Compton.

REQUEST: I am always on the lookout for Compton organs to play - particularly electrones - so if you know of any churches which still have these then please do let me know. I will happily give a donation or pay any applicable room hire charge.
