Police failed to keep Sooraj Pancholi in their custody for more than two days afterarresting him on charges of abetting the suicide of actor Jiha Khan. An Andheri magistrate court on Thursday rejected their request for more time to interrogate the 22-year-old and remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days. Suraj had been remanded in police custody for two days following his arrest on Monday after 25-year-old Jiah Khan's mother filed an FIR blaming him for her daughter's suicide on June 3.Lawyers for Sooraj, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, filed a bail application in an upper court. It is listed for hearing on Friday.
