News has been doing the rounds that Karan Johar has been planning a period drama. And from what we've heard, Ranbir Kapoor, who's a part of Dharma Productions's, Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani, will play the lead role in the film. Karan Johar will direct Ranbir Kapoor in his next film after 'Student Of The Year'. The film is likely to go on the floor early next year and it will not be a period film. We have learnt that KJo will fly overseas for a long spell to collaborate with his writers on finishing the script.
