The forest is a lifeline for tribal communities living in India's Chhattisgarh state. However, the forestry department is now trying to evict the settlement of at least 30 families in the central state. Despite making up 32 percent of Chhattisgarh's population, tribal people have few rights. State government figures show that most tribal communities have no basic amenities, with only 15 percent having access to clean water. Al Jazeera's Divya Gopalan reports from Chhattisgarh.
