Residents in Brussels have complained about a noisy neighbour: Lola the donkey, who is appearing in a play at a cultural centre in the same apartment block.

Police ordered that she be moved indoors from the balcony, where her braying was deemed too loud.

The centre's director accused the neighbours of interfering and said Lola "needed to breathe" outdoors.
