Masala Chai - Masala Tea - Indian Flavoured Spicy Tea - Hot Beverage Recipe by Ruchi Bharani
In this episode, watch another version of Chai - The Indian Tea, called the Masala Chai (Masala Tea). It is flavored with a blend of spices called the Chai Masala.
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 Cup Water
1 Cup Milk
2 tsp - Tea Powder
2 or 3 small pieces Ginger
2 Pieces - Cardamom
1/4 tsp Tea Masala (Chai Masala)
1 tbsp Lemongrass Leaves
Method:
- Leave one and half cup of water to boil
- Pound Two or Three pieces of Ginger and add to water
- Pound Two pieces of Cardamom and add it to water
- Add Two teaspoon of Tea Powder
- Boil for next Two to Three minutes
- Add Lemon Grass
- Add Chai Masala (Tea Masala or Tea Spice)
- Add Two cups of Milk
- Add two teaspoon and a little more sugar
- Lower the flame before it overflows
- Pour it hot in the serving cup, straining it through a fine sieve.
