A Milan prosecutor has called for fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to be jailed for alleged tax evasion.

The pair are accused of not declaring taxes on royalties amounting to around one billion euros.

Dolce and Gabbana have denied the charge, in one of the few high-profile tax cases to reach the Italian courts.
