Rio de Janeiro, May 28 (EFE), (Camera: José Manuel Blanco/Janaína Quinet).- The FIFA Confederations Cup, scheduled to be held in Brazil in June, will be played across 6 modern stadiums, three of which are totally new whilst the rest have been renovated. Only two of these new arenas were finished within the time period stipulated by FIFA, which lead to certain hostilites between Brazilian authorities and the organization.
FIFA's general secretary Jérôme Valcke visited Brazil to try to put an end to the controversy claiming that, even though the original deadline wasn't met, the stadiums had been completed before the confederations cup.
